Phuplec is a digital artwork and engagement programme based on the concept of becoming a plot of earth. Inspired by land practices including the self care of plant systems and growing principles, the project offers wellbeing activities for people to do in their own time to connect them to the earth.

Practices include foraging and gifting, growing knowledge, shifting perspectives, radical movement without shifting location, replenishing, drifting and deviating. The work celebrates the small, the wild, the overripe, the rotten, the undesired and the redundant as necessary tactics for a sustainable future.

The work includes a digital platform as well as hard copy activity and grow packs that were distributed to local communities.

Phuplec was created while artist in residence for Resonance Cambridge.

The work is inspired by research into the allotment movement.
